Elan is an Australian quantum computing student and a fervid puzzle fanatic. He is an avid enthusiast of puzzlehunts; participating in most online puzzlehunt competitions and writing for Mystery Hunt '25. He may be most likely found coming up with ridiculous puzzle ideas.

Becca is a grad student who spends way too much time on puzzles. She has represented the US at 3 World Sudoku/Puzzle Championships, and she has authored for the US Sudoku Team Qualifying contest as well as the World Puzzle Federation's Sudoku Grand Prix. While leading MIT Puzzle Club, she authored and/or edited for many puzzle events, including the 2025 Mystery Hunt, BAPHL 26, Brass Rat Hunts, Aquarium Hunts, and the MIT Sudoku/Logic/Crosswords Opens.

Evan is a high school math teacher who also happened to be on the writing team for the MIT Mystery Hunt a couple times. Sometimes he helps prepare his students for college by writing small hunts for them too.

Sky has a background in cognitive science and computing and helps out with the business and tech side of Mass Ave Puzzles. She works on things like the website, merch, marketing, and whatever else needs to get done to help bring our puzzle projects to life.

Alex is a PhD student at MIT whose puzzling world expanded from crosswords to hunts after a baptism by fire at the 2024 Mystery Hunt. As an author, he has constructed crosswords for the Los Angeles Times and MIT Crossword Open, as well as written and edited for BAPHL 26, Brass Rat Hunt 2026, and multiple Aquarium Hunts, among others.

Dyanne is a recent graduate in design studies. She works on design for our products, including our logo! In her free time, she also works on freelance design projects for small businesses, creating logos, business cards, banners, and more.
